Hi, today is December 1st. This is the day we start the Advent Calendar at our House. First, I guess I should introduce myself. I'm the littlest Davolt at our house, at least for now. Probably I'll have a brother or sister in like 5 years, and I won't be the littlest Davolt anymore. ...anyways, back to the Advent Calendar.
Mommy and Daddy and I will be doing Advent activities, counting down the days till Christmas. Mommy says that we probably won't ask Daddy to do all the activities with us, because he'd probably be happier not to have to do things like color Christmas Cards, which was our activity for today. Actually it was one that I would have been happy to opt out of as well, since I really wasn't allowed to do it the right way. See, Mommy says that crayons aren't edible. When she said that, I got kinda upset, because I couldn't find out for myself. She tells me that I shouldn't throw tempers, and Daddy says things like, “That boy needs Jesus.” I guess I'll have to grow up a little more before I understand what he means by that, but if Daddy says so, I guess it must be true.
Anyways, back to the subject at hand. The reason I am blogging today, is because my Mommy isn't very good at it. She goes in spurts where she blogs several posts, then she gets sidetracked by dust, laundry, me and Daddy, cooking, or a good book. She said I could give it a try, so I guess I'll see if I can fit it into my schedule. Don't be surprised if I have to turn it back over to her. I have a lot to do these days, especially with Christmas right around the corner. The Christmas tree needs re-arranged, my toys need re-organized, the windows need to have hand designs, my clothes need to be dirty so Mommy can have something to wash, and trash needs taken out, (Daddy and Mommy do it the hard way by taking the bag clear out to the big garbage can. I just empty it onto the floor.)
Anyways, keep an eye on our blog. Between Mommy and me, we'll try to update it with our Advent activities, at least once a week.
P.S. If you have any great kid friendly Advent ideas, feel free to let us know. This card idea of Mommy's has me concerned. I hope it gets better, cause this is going to be an awfully long 25 days if it doesn't.

This is one of the all to few chances that I got to taste my crayons.
They aren't as good as chocolate, but they were OK. ...I just wish
I could have had a better opportunity to really find out if I like them or not.
I wasn't sure about coloring at first. I liked it better when the crayons
turned into animals and started moo-ing and meow-ing.
A tiny sample of my artwork.
