As a new mom I spend lots of time thinking, wondering, and praying about how to ensure that my boy grows up to be a Christian. More than anything, I want my entire family to make it to heaven!! I don't even want it to be an option, yet I realize that I can't make the choice for them. I have prayed for guidance, read books and articles, observed others, and talked to parents who were successful with raising good Christian kids. There are several things I have learned about proper child raising, and there are loads and bushels more to learn.
This evening I was reading a guest post on
Lindsay's blog. I know there are many other things that are important as well, such as family devotions, solid biblical training, consistent discipline, prayer, etc. etc., but this little article was a great reminder that my kids
are watching.
